How we source cloud egress pricing
Each cloud provider's egress rate comes from that provider's published pricing page. This page describes the source per provider, the refresh discipline, and what we do not publish.

Refresh discipline
Each provider's rate is re-verified against the published pricing page on a periodic check, and on any published pricing-change announcement. The footer of every page shows the last-verified date.
Cloud egress pricing changes infrequently in absolute terms but semantically often (new tiers, new regions, new service-specific rates). When a provider revises its schedule, the per-provider page is updated to match.
Vendor confirmations
Some entries carry a dated "Confirmed with vendor" note. It means the vendor reviewed the figures we publish for them against their canonical pricing and confirmed them accurate as of that date. The confirmation covers factual accuracy only: framing, comparisons, and conclusions remain ours, and vendors have no publication veto. The note is the vendor's to give, withhold, or withdraw at any time, and the same protocol applies to every provider on the site. Verification is free and cannot be bought; a paid stamp would be a paid badge, so there is no paid stamp.
Current confirmations: Impossible Cloud, 1 October 2026 (free egress, the 1x fair-use guideline, and case-by-case handling above it); Backblaze, 1 October 2026 (the 3x allowance, the $0.01 overage and the $6.95 storage rate, plus free egress on B2 Neo).
What we deliberately do not publish
- Enterprise discount levels. EDP, EA, and committed-use discount math is bespoke per customer and confidential. The calculator outputs the published list rate; expect 10-50% movement on a real negotiation depending on volume and tenure.
- Predictions of future pricing. Cloud egress pricing trends are not forecast.
- Personal data. The calculator runs entirely in your browser. Inputs (monthly GB, region) are not transmitted, logged, or stored. Standard analytics (Google Analytics, page-view-level only) are used.
