GCP Cloud CDN pricing
Google Cloud CDN has three cost layers: cache egress (per GiB to user), cache fill (per GiB from origin), and HTTP lookups. Cache egress starts at $0.08/GiB in North America and Europe, dropping to $0.02/GiB above 1,000 TiB / month. Google meters Cloud CDN in gibibytes, not decimal gigabytes.

Cache egress (user-facing) tier pricing
Google groups destinations into six bands and meters usage per project per destination. India is billed inside Asia Pacific; there is no separate India rate for Cloud CDN.

Cache fill, lookups, and invalidation
Cache fill within North America or Europe
$0.01/GiB. Charged on first request (cache miss). For high-traffic sites with a good cache hit ratio, Google puts cache fill at under 10 percent of total transfer.
Cache fill within Asia Pacific, South America, Middle East, Africa or Oceania
$0.02/GiB. The rate depends on the region of your backend service, or on your origin's IP address for external backends.
Inter-region cache fill
$0.04/GiB, for example between Asia Pacific and North America. Avoid it by placing the origin near most of your users.
HTTP / HTTPS lookup
$0.0075 per 10,000 requests. Charged on every GET and HEAD request, hit or miss. POST and PUT do not trigger a lookup.
Cache invalidation
Google publishes no per-invalidation charge. It caps throughput instead: up to 500 invalidation requests per minute, with no limit on objects or total size per request.
Signed URLs / cookies
Free to generate, but every signed request still triggers a lookup. Use as access control, not as cost saving.

Cloud CDN vs direct GCS egress
Direct Google Cloud Storage egress (Premium Tier) starts at $0.12/GiB. Cloud CDN cache egress in NA/EU starts at $0.08/GiB. For any GCS workload serving public content, Cloud CDN saves $0.04/GiB plus delivers faster from edge. The breakeven is the first cached response: at typical cache hit ratios above 70 percent, Cloud CDN wins on cost. The charge to watch is cache fill on misses, at $0.01/GiB within NA or Europe and $0.04/GiB across regions.
