Impossible Cloud egress fees: free, with one bound
Impossible Cloud is S3-compatible object storage priced in EUR. Its published pricing is short: storage at €7.99 per TB per month pay as you go, and 0€ for egress and API calls. The one condition on the free egress is a fair-use guideline: monthly egress should not exceed the volume of actively stored data. This page sets out exactly what is published, what sits above the guideline, and how that compares with the other free-egress providers.
Confirmed with Impossible Cloud on 1 October 2026: egress is free, the fair-use guideline bounds monthly egress at the volume of actively stored data, and usage above it is handled case-by-case rather than metered. The confirmation covers factual accuracy only. The framing, comparisons and conclusions on this page remain ours, the note is the vendor's to withdraw at any time, and the same protocol applies to every provider we cover. Verification is free and cannot be bought. How confirmations work
What Impossible Cloud publishes

|---|---|---|
| Egress (data transfer out) | 0€ | “0€ Egress fees.” The FAQ adds: “We do not charge for egress, meaning the transfer of your data out of our object storage.” |
| API calls | 0€ | “0€ fees for API calls.” |
| Storage, pay as you go | €7.99 / TB / month | No minimum file size or storage duration fees, and no monthly commitment. |
| Storage, reserved capacity | Not public | 1, 3 and 5 year reserved plans from 25 TB are discounted against pay as you go, but carry no published price. |

The fair-use bound, precisely
The free egress carries one condition, published alongside the price: “monthly egress should not exceed the volume of actively stored data.” That is the same 1x-stored bound Wasabi uses. Nothing is priced above it: Impossible Cloud publishes no overage rate, so there is no figure to extrapolate. Where a scenario sits above the bound, our calculator says not priced rather than inventing one.
In the written confirmation of 1 October 2026, Impossible Cloud told us that the rare customer who egresses above the fair-use guideline is handled case-by-case: in most cases the customer is told, and no extra charge is made if usage returns to the guideline. That detail is the vendor's account, not a published term, which is why it is attributed here rather than written into the price table.
The practical reading: because the bound is 1x actively stored data, the €7.99 per TB per month storage bill is effectively also the price of the egress allowance. Store 20 TB and the guideline covers 20 TB of egress a month; a read-heavy workload that turns data over faster than once a month is outside the published scope.
Against the other free-egress providers
| Provider | Free egress bound | Above the bound |
|---|---|---|
| Impossible Cloud | 1x actively stored data per month (fair-use guideline) | No published price. Vendor-confirmed case-by-case handling, normally a conversation rather than a charge. |
| Wasabi | 1x active storage volume per month (fair-use policy) | No published price. The policy reserves the right to limit or suspend service for regular breaches. |
| Backblaze B2 | 3x average monthly stored volume | Priced: $0.01 per GB. Unlimited free egress through listed partner CDNs. |
| Cloudflare R2 | None. Egress is free at any volume | Not applicable, but reads are metered: Class B operations at $0.36 per million on Standard storage. |
R2's unbounded free egress comes with metered operations, covered in the Cloudflare R2 guide. For the storage-bounded providers, the deciding number is your egress-to-storage ratio: at or under 1x, Impossible Cloud and Wasabi price identically at zero; between 1x and 3x, only B2 publishes a figure at all.
Run your own numbers
The calculator prices every provider from its published table, shows Impossible Cloud against all of them, and marks anything outside the fair-use guideline as not priced. Enter your stored volume as well as your egress, because the bound is a ratio of the two.

Does Impossible Cloud charge egress fees?
No. Impossible Cloud's published pricing states 0€ egress fees and 0€ fees for API calls. Its FAQ confirms: 'We do not charge for egress, meaning the transfer of your data out of our object storage.' The one published condition is a fair-use guideline: monthly egress should not exceed the volume of actively stored data.
What is Impossible Cloud's fair-use limit on free egress?
The published guideline is that monthly egress should not exceed the volume of actively stored data, the same 1x-stored bound Wasabi publishes. Impossible Cloud publishes no price for egress above that guideline. The company confirmed to us on 1 October 2026 that usage above the guideline is handled case-by-case, normally as a conversation rather than a charge.
What happens if egress exceeds the fair-use guideline?
Nothing is priced above the guideline, so no overage rate exists to apply. Impossible Cloud told us, in the written confirmation of these figures on 1 October 2026, that rare cases above the fair-use bound are handled case-by-case: in most cases the customer is told, and no extra charge is made if usage returns to the guideline. Our calculator therefore shows scenarios above the bound as not priced rather than inventing a rate.
How does Impossible Cloud compare with Wasabi for egress?
Both bound free egress at 1x stored volume and neither publishes an overage price. The difference is framing: Wasabi's policy states it reserves the right to limit or suspend service for regular breaches, while Impossible Cloud presents the bound as a guideline and confirmed to us that breaches are handled case-by-case. Backblaze B2 allows 3x average monthly storage and then prices overage at $0.01 per GB; Cloudflare R2 has free egress with no stored-volume bound at all, but meters operations.
What does Impossible Cloud storage cost?
Pay-as-you-go object storage is €7.99 per TB per month, with no minimum file size, no minimum storage duration and no monthly commitment. Reserved-capacity plans over 1, 3 or 5 years, from 25 TB, are discounted but not publicly priced. Because the free-egress bound is 1x stored data, the storage bill is effectively also the price of the egress allowance.
