How we source cloud egress pricing
Each cloud provider's egress rate comes from that provider's published pricing page. This page describes the source per provider, the refresh discipline, and what we do not publish.
Sources, by provider
- AWSPublished egress pricing at aws.amazon.com/ec2/pricing/on-demand (Data Transfer Out section) and the EC2 / S3 / CloudFront specific pricing pages where rates differ by service.
- AzurePublished egress pricing at azure.microsoft.com/pricing/details/bandwidth.
- Google CloudPublished egress pricing at cloud.google.com/network-tiers/pricing (Premium Tier and Standard Tier disclosed separately).
- Cloudflare R2Published pricing at cloudflare.com/products/r2 (zero egress fee policy explicitly disclosed).
- Backblaze B2 + WasabiPublished egress pricing at backblaze.com/cloud-storage/pricing and wasabi.com/cloud-storage-pricing.
Refresh discipline
Each provider's rate is re-verified against the published pricing page on a periodic check, and on any published pricing-change announcement. The footer of every page shows the last-verified date.
Cloud egress pricing changes infrequently in absolute terms but semantically often (new tiers, new regions, new service-specific rates). When a provider revises its schedule, the per-provider page is updated to match.
What we deliberately do not publish
- Enterprise discount levels. EDP, EA, and committed-use discount math is bespoke per customer and confidential. The calculator outputs the published list rate; expect 10-50% movement on a real negotiation depending on volume and tenure.
- Predictions of future pricing. Cloud egress pricing trends are not forecast.
- Personal data. The calculator runs entirely in your browser. Inputs (monthly GB, region) are not transmitted, logged, or stored. Standard analytics (Google Analytics, page-view-level only) are used.
Editorial position
This site is operated by Digital Signet, an independent AI-development studio. We do not act as a cloud reseller, do not sell migration services, do not run a managed cloud practice, and do not accept paid placements from any cloud provider. See /about for the operator and the wider network.
